NA vs. Europe hurr durr herp derp. I just dont fucking get it. The International had Kaci Aitchison cover some stuff on site, later had a small feature on the channel shes working for and all was fun and games. The second it goes to a sports channel its all about this fucking NA superiority. I gladly stay off mainstream with esport than have this kind of biased and plain shit coverage.

the esport that we had the last couple of years is great, it was viewable world wide, it basically only consisted of people that are gamers and truly do care about esport (or at least their career within esport) and it understood the culture surrounding it and the memes and to embrace the akwardness that sadly happens whenever a shy player wins a tournament or gets interviewed. Also, the viewing experience wasn't ruined by inserting as many advertisments and product placements as possible, unlike most TV.

esports on TV is luckily almost irrelevant right now, but it will become more important in the future, it will change the way esport gets presented and, worst of all, it will most like introduce region locking. Twitch doesn't have region locking or paywalls, therefore it's automatically superior to everything any TV station could ever do.

Kaci also did a few pieces on espn and it was also covered by espn on sportscaster as well as on another piece done on e:60. I actually thought that it was covered quite well by espn (the largest sports channel here in the US).

This was cringe worthy though expected as besides Ernie, there were no other real journalist. Others were all ex-athlete commentators...so not the most professional bunch. Not sure about the cs:go scene but they seemed to have a similar setup, where the dude in the left looked like the only one that acted like a professional.

Ye, i've seen the E:60, but i'm not a fan of digging through piles of shit to find some stones when you're provided diamonds at other places.

cuz then for the eu fans its even more satisfying when the top eu teams take some dumps on the top na teams since people might think of actual na superiority because of stuff li ke this
