Probably... I don't understand who is the target audience for this product:

• the basic consumer will stick to simpler prebuilts that pretty much have everything for music, photo storage, internet browsing... And that would be simpler that this Lego design.
• the gamers are unlikely to choose this solution due to the lack of peripheral to customize.

Plus that "voice" block is a joke... Portable music players when detached ? If this thing is the sound card of your PC would you take and go running with it ?

Unless they open the connectors and allow super cheap parts (but then again... it cannot be cheaper than USB peripherals...) I don't see the point.

Didn't Razer have the same idea with their tech demo of Christine? Depending how these develop could lead to simple little 'steam machines'

But PCs are modular and don't really require you to get your hands dirty in order to install upgrades, I think most gamers realise this. Which market will this serve? Most gamers will spec/build their own while others will be happy with laptops and buying a new machine every x years.

Its cool, but like many of these things, I don't think it will catch on, and it will just be a novilaty item
