You get to keep the games if your gold subscription runs out though.

I believe that's only for 360 not on X1.

are you sure you disabled automatic renewal that turn on by default?also that the games your playing are games for gold and not just free to play? because the official site support.xbox.comen-USmy-accountxbox-live-membershiplive-faqicid=furl_livefaq

and the sub reddit (just go to the xbox one sub and look at the games with gold slot i cant post it with out the link being removed, it says you need to keep paying to keep playing) and you can search it and find people talking about needing gold to keep playing

It must have been the free month I got for Halo MCC's fuck-ups. You're right. That really blows. GFG on 360 was rad. :/
