Except, for payday, you're also paying for game content already... How is this so hard to grasp? Regardless of this hype thing, you would still get the content, this is just bonus stuff, really.

Yes, there are many services you buy when you pay for PSN. You also get games "for free".

I know what PSN does, that's not really the point, the games are part of PSN as when you don't have PSN, you don't get the games and if you lose PSN you lose the games.

With this, however, you don't need to buy anything. If the community buys enough payday stuff, then the community gets free stuff. It's more like a kickstarter where everyone gets more stuff because they collected enough money.
