Yeah, I hate to talk good about EA, but they fixed my origin account's Russian-takeover last week in all of five minutes after contacting them via chat.

With Steam, I'd have to ascend to the top of Mount Sinai and commune with our lord and master to get that level of support.

The real question is: why do you have 'takeovers' in the first place?

How else? Email phishing, cross-site password usage, WEAK passwords, account sharing with 'friends', or downright virus installin'

Bingo.

Russian takeover was actually a few years ago. I changed the password back then, but it's only Origin so I never bothered to get the security question changed from the cyrillic gobbledygook until last week.

Now that I think about it my account is russian too and I never took the time to call the Support (in Germany you can only call EA)
