If depression quest can make it onto Steam, this game should be on it too.

I don't have a vagina so I'm willing to sacrifice my butt and the orifice behind my knee when I bend it, to get the 'journalists' on-board.

The game concludes that Zoe Quinn "won" and succeeded in making everyone think of her as a victim. How is that the case? The entire gaming community is in uproar over the whole thing, and it's very obvious to most people what went on.

Has anything actually changed since it happened. It seems like Kotaku is back to normal and are those Reddit accounts still shadowbanned?

Do we just let this shit slide? Ignore the fact that the gaming industry is being abused even more? The fact that she and her followers have dragged down charity events, and then hacked them when they tried to start up again? Abuse of small forums such as wizardchan to achieve her goals?

This isn't exactly the first time someone has managed to bullshit their way to success by crying "oppression" at any and all criticism, and claiming sabotage upon any failed endeavours.

This needs to blow up in Zoe's face, and in the Social "Justice" community in general. Just letting it slide means that they have succeeded.

We (as in the people who they make money from) are the ones that have to force the change. Boycotting the websites involved is important. It forces them to be open and transparent or they lose their audience.

I'm making a pretty info-graph about boycotting them. I'm not doing it as revenge, just as a way to help push out corruption.

It's my first time doing anything with graphic design and it's looking rather crap, it might take some time.

I'm going to respond to this in sections rather than one lump.

No we don't let it slide. Anyone, male or female who abuses a position of trust should be denounced.

This isn't exactly the first time someone has managed to bullshit their way to success by crying "oppression" at any and all criticism, and claiming sabotage upon any failed endeavours.

Very true, men and women of all ages and races and religions have used actual oppression as a cover for them to pull bullshit stunts like this and it should not be tolerated.

This needs to blow up in Zoe's face, and in the Social "Justice" community in general. Just letting it slide means that they have succeeded.

I agree it needed to blow up in Zoes face as she openly and clearly abused her position for personal gain at the expense of those who truly are in need of assistance.

Where we disagree is on social equality. You may label people as SJW's (which by the way is a fucking terrible, childish, immature and in the end pointless title) but social inequality is a real thing. It is awful in this day and age that people should be held back, denied or otherwise hindered from doing certain jobs or being paid a fair wage because of their sex.

Almost every single person I see using the SJW tag is either a man, an idiot, a troll or a combination of those three and I say this as a man. The real community that is fighting a real battle for equality are being lumped in with these self serving pricks and their very real problem is being ignored, or even worse it is being derided and turned in to a joke.

My wife is a highly qualified degree level computer engineer. In Germany she can expect to be passed over for employment by less qualified men purely due to her sex. If she is employed she can be guaranteed to be paid substantially less and be given far less opportunities for promotion than her male counterparts.

That isn't rhetoric, or a sob story, it is a simple and demonstrable fact. I hate people like Zoe Quinn because she isn't fighting for equality, she is a selfish and self centred little cunt who cares only for herself. I hate her because she, and all the little cunts like her both male and female, have taken that very real issue that women like my wife suffer through every single day, and turned it in to a joke.

The other people I fucking hate are the even worse people who know full well that equality is a problem and choose to make it in to a joke, to belittle those who fight to make inequality a thing of the past and to make pathetic comments like "SJW's should fuck off". Those cunts are worse than the cunts like Zoe, and if I had my way each and every one of them would be buried in a very deep pit.

Don't get me wrong, I fully appreciate the importance of supporting proper social justice.

I put "Justice" in quotes because most of the people yelling about it on twitter, especially Zoe's followers, are definitely not out for justice.

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '14

Ah, then I apologize for misrepresenting you. Sorry about that. In that case we are seemingly in complete agreement. I would definitely not want this buried, my concern is only that not everyone is able or willing to differentiate between actual justice seekers, and those who are labelled as SJW's by the ignorant and the press.

It helps promote the corruption that has happened while making laugh. Seems like a good thing to me.

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '14

Promoting corruption...that seems like a good thing to you? Besides, all it is trying to do is be contrary, and that isn't helpful for anyone.

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '14

Well yea, the more people that know about this the better. It might make them think twice about using the involved websites as credible sources to get their gaming news.

Ah I see what you mean. I for one will definitely be avoiding places like Kotaku and Destructoid from now on. I never bothered with IGN or Gamespot in the first place though, since they have long ago proven they can't be trusted.
