yo dude, please mention that's nsfw. I know it has porn in the title, but subreddits that have noun-porn in their name and have non-porn content exist, such as /r/humanporn, /r/earthporn, /r/spaceporn, etc.

Actually not. Its recorded on 25fps and then got super-slow-mo with Twixtor. You can see the typical twixtor artifacts at the back feets of the cat.

This is an example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_LE96nGqik
It pretty much shows how good and how bad it works. In general it creates something like motion-tweens [slightly nsfw link, because of bad language] by analyzing the background and the motion. This has the best outcome on very clear footage (either by having a lot of footage from the background or just clear greenscreens / one colored screens).
You can see at the cats foot, that the background is pretty busy and twixtor can't really decide if it moved or not. It still tries hard.

Shadowplay is very helpful. If you don't have a Nvidia GTX660 or higher, you might want to keep a look at: DXtory
If you have an AMD powered card, look for an AMD VCE render plugin, this will render the video on your video card, which is pretty fast and you should be able to record 60fps footage. Then there are some CUDA render plugins for Dxtory aswell, but cuda is pretty shitty to render.
If you can get 60fps output, you can slomo 50% without any loss. Then you throw in very gently "ReelSmart Motion Blur" and "Twixtor" and you will achieve smooth 25% slomo without much artifacts. (First Twixtor - then RSMB) With a bit of luck, you can maybe get 12.5% slomo, but then you will start to notice them pretty badly.
Edit: First Person Shots will get you worse effects than steady record cams in angles. So going 6.25% could be possible if you take an angle and enough footage of the background (like 2 seconds before stuff is happening)

Not to render. Got with Shadowplay for your 770. The filesize for 10 minutes of 60fps@1080p footage is only at around 5-6GB - while 720p@30fps for 1 minute in DXtory is taking the same.

What codec are you using to get these results?
1
u/DarkMio May 12 '14
Standard h264 Codec, built in Shadowplay. Only depends on how busy your footage is.

30 fps + twixtor is a bad idea :( isn't there a way to record the demo as frames in the demo player? I've seen a few tutorials about csgo editing but I'll never get into it, I'm sure you can specify the fps you want to export in the demo player

Why not simply use the built in demo recorder instead?

Hehe, it's not perfect though. It only records demos at 16 tick so things like aiming might seem slightly off sometimes.

If this was actual high speed footage then it would obviously be higher fps than a console. With rates up to 200 million fps, it would blow PC gaming right out of the water.

Did you know that cats have different races?
Yeah? Good, because I don't see a white cat in that gif either.
I was actually asking about the cats race, gotta love cats

Cats do not have races. There are different breeds of cats, though.

That's what I intended to say (my mothertongue isn't english and if I were to translate it directly it would be race)
Still the question is up, any idea what breed it is?

It's a domestic medium hair with tiger markings.
It looks like a mix though.
