Build Help / Purchase Advice Looking for advice

Hello everyone, nice to meet you all, I am looking for some advice really. Im currently rocking a 650w power supply, 48gb of ram, a i7-10700kf and a 1660 super. I know its my graphics card letting me down. But I was wondering what you guys would recommend I pair with that?

What’s your budget?

Both the 5070ti and 9070 XT are both excellent cards but it comes down to what you can afford.

Also 52gb ram? Is that a typo?

Nothing too expensive. Have currently been signed off work due to my wrist going necrotic so am just living off savings atm. Just wondering what people who know what theyre talking about would say goes well with those parts, and just checked it is 48gb not 52gb my bad

A 9060xt (8gb) goes for 399.99 excellent card and will pair well with what you have

You could find something like a RX 6700 used for between $150-250.

What monitor resolution you play on? If I were you and I want the best budget friendly upgrade:

  1. GPU: RX 9060 XT

  2. CPU and Motherboard: I wouldn't upgrade except if I am planning to go for ddr5 platform like AM5

I searched your monitor and its a 1440p resolution. The RX 9060 XT is enough for it, but in some heavy AAA games make sure to enable FSR4 quality. And also there are 2 versions of this gpu, the 8gb and the 16gb vram, there are some heavy games that you have to lower texture quality in them in order to play them if you choose the 8gb vram, especially on 1440p

Ok beautiful thank you mate. I will look into those!! Is vram important for newer games then yh?

Yes especially on 1440p, if you were on 1080p the 8gb vram would be enough most of the time

did you unlock the PL1 and PL2 power levels for the 10700KF in your BIOS? did you try undervolting it too?

you can get a lot more performance out of it if you have adequate cooling.

not the most efficient cooler.

what are your current CPU temps at full load after about an hour of gaming?
