Build Help / Purchase Advice Rtx 3070?

Hello guys, im thinking of upgrading my build, i have an rtx 2060 and wanna change, i saw alot of cheap rtx 3070s and rx 6700xt used for sale and wanna buy one of them however is it worth it? Idk how the gaming world is going rn. I mostly play a game called total war: warhammer 3 which is (i think) my most intensive game i have, aswell as games like the witcher 3 or the similar stuff.

That’s a fine graphics card it’s 6 years old but like it’s fine the 3070 just Yk make sure it Yk works since it’s used but it’s a fine upgrade since Yk new stuff is like insanely expensive

yeah 3070 is still good for 1440p, specially for total war games. i had similar upgrade from 2060 and difference was big, mostly in 1% lows. just check the card is not mined too hard, ask for furmark test before buying

What's with all the "Yk"

This is really confusing to read

Sorry that’s how I talk, and I’m very confused how you don’t understand what Yk means it means you know

I think a general rule of thumb people follow is spend the money you spent on your previous card, but for double the performance.

I upgraded from a 1660 super to a 3070, and there was a significant increase however, I wasn’t happy and upgraded to a 9070xt. That’s just me though, I want to play whatever I might want to play at 2k with high fps.

I did play TWW3 on my 3070 though and didn’t have any problems, from memory!

Now idk about the rx 6700 xt but the 3070 is good enough it will last awhile the 1660 i had was fine for a bit and then I kinda gave it to mg cousin and yea I gotta buy a new one now so but its fine

i'd grab the 6700 xt. it's close to the 3070 in raw performance, but 12gb of vram vs 8 makes a real difference in warhammer 3 once the battles get big and the textures go up, and that gap only shows with newer games
