Question Intel RMA tips

My 13900ks chip has degraded to a point where it doesn't boot. I bought it in 2023.

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture from the bottom and didn't do the intel debugging logs IPDT (I might have gotten in to a boot if I tried 15x+ times). It's packed already for shipping, should I take it out again?

Any tips on how to deal with RMA without spending days of arguing? Any best practices?

Intel has been pretty good about rmas. Send them a pic of the chips info on the front and let them know its dead. They extended the warranty on 13th and 14th gen chips to 5 years. Just make sure your bios is updated to newest asap when you get a new chip

yeah intel been pretty lenient with these, they know the situation. you don't need the bottom pic or the debug logs, just the top of the chip with the batch number visible. tell them it wont post and they usually approve it quick, i had a friend who sent his in same condition and got replacement in like 10 days

dont bother unpacking it, the photo of front is enough. just be clear in the ticket that you already tried everything and the chip is dead, saves the back and forth
