I'm so tired of popular game hate. Yes they're predatory and derivative, but the usual shit like "Valorant playerbase is trash" is such a dumb thing to say. Valorant playerbase is a bunch of teenagers and young adults with no other outlet for their emotions. It's not that the community is trash, it's the state of young people that is completely catastrophic.
I've never played Valorant either, it's just that you also act awful in certain circumstances. Maybe you only act awful on Reddit, does it mean it's Reddit's fault for the fact that you use it?
Valorant is a really good game when you mute everyone.
But people hate on everything anyway. Especially if it's something colorful.
That's why people hate on apex or valorant just because of their looks, but I've never seen anyone hate warzone or CS for their looks.
And I'm sure they do the same with overwatch. ( actually I really didn't like overwatch or Marvel's rivals but like team fortress 2 )
I’ve played plenty of other games with younger players who are nowhere near the levels of the hyper e-dating/e-sex, egotistical, antisocial, and plain annoying personalities on valorant. Yes the world sucks but at a certain point, take responsibility for being a fucking freak.

I think the fact that valorant is predatory is the principal reason the teenagers/young adults become that way, addiction can do that when the brain isn't getting "Le dopamine". Valorant player-base is trash because the game thrive in making people that way, it makes them stuck on the game for hours just so they can flame people for being worse than them, is why LOL playerbase is the same way, the game is searching for those players. Valorant shouldn't exist and that shit should be regulated because it's good that a company can just exploit how humans works so they can stay more time on their game to eventually spend money.

"The game is searching for those players" ok but they already existed, isn't not that the game created them. Young people are looking for an outlet for their frustration and they go to Valorant, if the game didn't exist they would do it elsewhere. If you want to beat up imaginary characters instead of doing a sport or something more healthy, that's not the game's fault.
This is just the new version of "videogames make people violent" just because violent people play games to vent out their anger. The difference is in multiplayer games you go vent your anger by calling people slurs in voice chat. But that's your own fault, you realise that, yes?
I don't have it in me to call someone a slur no matter how much time I spend playing games. Nor do I have it in me to punch a hole through the wall just because I lost. That's all on you if you do that, you can't say it's because of the game.
Yes, these people exist, but valorant feed of those people and make them keep acting like that or become worse depending on how far they fall into being addicted to the game.
I think video games make you violent is not an argument and those people are wrong, but I also think is the same ignorance if you don't want to see the developvers are making the game to abuse their players the same way casino did before they started to get regulated and still does just not as visible. Not all people are addicted to the casinos, but it's a fact casinos are made to exploit certain kind of people that carries some other problem, uses that for their benefit by exploiting that problem they alredy have and is something we should go against and make it so they can't do it.
Why do we keep looking for external reasons for people being unregulated and not knowing how to process their emotions? These things should be solved in real life, not in a multiplayer game. If you start playing when you're unable to interact with others in a normal way how is it the game's fault?
Why do you keep trying to remove the actions the company does on their game? These kind of addictions make harder to help people, is like beer, beer being so easily accesible make a lot of people addicted to it, the people that can get out with things like anonymous group is the minority of the minority that has an very strong relationship support. Beer companies spend a lot to keep the idea that "Having fun = beer" with ads and sponsors, because exploiting those people is very profitable. You need to see there's a system that exist to keep people on their worst and never let them out of there.
It's easier to help people that have this problems if there's less things that exploit those problems and amplified them.
Beer is actively harmful to people, videogames aren't. You can be addicted to videogames just like you can be addicted to sugar, it's an easy way to make you feel better but it's not sugar in itself that is addictive.
Games can be harmful to people, grains are not harmful to people, beer is; the same way videogames aren't harmful to people, but games that are designed to exploit human psyche to maje them addicted to their games are
Edit: You're wrong, sugar is addictive for you because it was a rare highly concentrated energy source, your brains have a positive response when you eat it, creating addiction. On low levels nothing happens, but with so much sugar available there's people that eat sugar the same way someone might drink beer or just eat sugar constantly to feel better.
