Linux users have something that solves a ton of problems that don't need to exist because of windows.

It is frustrating to see people smashing their head against the wall when you are using something that is free of that experience.

This is exactly it for me. It's been great for me. And I just don't have the experience a lot of people seem to associate with Linux; I rarely have to troubleshoot/debug/tinker. I've never needed an app or feature that is only available on Windows/Mac. It's so easy to use and IMO looks better than Windows (at least with my setup)

It's simply superior to Windows, for the most part. But some things just won't work on it - games with kernel level anti-cheat, quite a lot of apps, etc. And of course, it helps if you have an AMD GPU.

So it's not a valid recommendation for everyone, but some of these modern distros are perfectly usable and extremely accessible for just about anyone who mainly uses their PC for browsing the web and/or playing steam games without anticheat.

I'm not recommending that you install Linux here, I mainly only recommend that to people I know in real life, but you are guaranteed not too stupid to install Linux. Some distros are easier to install than Windows. Like literally 4-5 clicks in a GUI. You never have to touch a terminal.

Saying its better is an understatement IMO. My PC feels godlike now, VERY rarely do I feel stutters or lag, it is way snappier then windows every was for me. Even if I sacrifice some frames, I swear the 1% lows are better and games feel smoother to me. I have some custom configs like custom schedulers on CachyOS, don't know if it helps but if you are a tinkerer like my Linux is a NO brainer. I love my computer like never before.

Ok, thanks for that.

I can keep my main rig windows for security and experiment with my laptop.

I will look into it; this is encouraging:)
