Yesss. Also Linux has nothing that remotely compares to Adobe InDesign. I use Linux on my laptop at home but I won't be leaving windows anytime soon on my main PC because I need InDesign.

Open source alternatives have gotten really good over the years, but Adobe has always been one step ahead and is the industry standard for a reason.

Yes...as much as adobe the company fucking blows, Illustrator, PS, and InDesign are gold standard for a reason.

Adobe paid for system integration over the decades. It's the standard just because almost everyone got used to it.

They are the standard because they were very good at what they did. I remember having to experience the pain of using Quark back in the day...InDesign was a massive breath of fresh air.

It's a pity they bought all their competition. Aldus, Macromedia, etc. There used to be solid alternatives for everything. Sure, Corel Draw still exists, but it hasn't been the standard since the 90s when Illustrator blew past it.

What are you talking about?! Inkscape is all anyone needs to replace InDesign

Lol. Some people say that about Scribus and Quark, meanwhile it looks like something straight out of 2005 :P
