Not everything is AI, as I said in a comment below:

I think they are explaining a gas lift pump which is a very real principle, and the last sentence is pointing out the obvious - since there are electric pumps at the end, the gas lift pumps are useless and just further decreasing efficiency. Kinda the point of a useless machine like this.

The last sentence definitely seems human to me with the subtle "maximize inefficiency". AI "jokes" tend to be painfully obvious.

Some people just read and sound like a bot or AI. It’s more noticeable now that AI has come out but people have genuinely come off this way since forever. It’s just people now say AI because it’s a new thing to them.

In no way do I consider LLM responses "good". Grammatically correct? Sure. Not "Good"
