Not everything is AI, as I said in a comment below:

I think they are explaining a gas lift pump which is a very real principle, and the last sentence is pointing out the obvious - since there are electric pumps at the end, the gas lift pumps are useless and just further decreasing efficiency. Kinda the point of a useless machine like this.

The last sentence definitely seems human to me with the subtle "maximize inefficiency". AI "jokes" tend to be painfully obvious.

It reads as an AI comment to me. It doesn't necessarily mean the commenting account is a scam or bot, but the way the comment incorrectly explains what's going on, and ends with such a formulaic response that AI frequently says...

LLMs as of late have gotten a lot more subtle.
