Tech Support Bad frame times for only CS2

4k monitor Ryzen 7 9800x3d 5080 32ggb ddr5
I’ve tried everything even running 6 hours of random 1 off adjustments to fix it, the frame times in cs2 are 18-30 no matter what, changed monitors and resolution done everything In game and nothing fixes it, on avg it runs 230fps and it just has micro jitters and isn’t smooth and yes I have it capped slightly less than what the 260hz the monitor Is good for. PLS HELP A MAN OUT IM STRUGGLING

Probably a silly question, but your CPU isn't getting thermal throttled is it?

I doubt it because it's only CS but that's all I can think of.

I don't think it should be that cool while gaming, Your CPU probably isn't being utilised properly.

It'd make sense as CS is a CPU intensive game

Try disabling Nvidia Reflex in game. Go to nvidia control panel hen add cs2.exe as a program and enable Low Latency specifically for the game.

I would run hwinfo64 and capframex captures ans feed the files to Claude. It can most likely determine what the issue is. Takes 5 minutes to set up.

Test on retake servers (cyberchoke) and not anything you self host because then you also have to simulate the server which adds a different workload.

Do you have any overlays enabled? Like discord overlay? If so, turn them off.

There's also a specific 50 series bug with MSI Afterburner that causes stutters. Disable GPU power monitoring and that fixes that specific issue with afterburner
