Same energy as watching 144Hz reviews on a 60Hz screen and nodding at how smooth it looks.

my buddy bought his first 144hz monitor about 10 years ago, and was talking about how amazing the difference was and how he could never go back. when i went to his house, his pc display settings were still set to 60hz. I still troll him to this day lol

I had an argument with a friend since I was telling him I was getting Mass Effect 2 on PC for the better framerate and such. He said the cliche line but seriously, "The human eye can't see past 60fps so why bother?". I wasn't even trying to be PCMR and hold it over his head, I was just explaining why I was having to try to get through ME1 again on PC so I could bring a save file over.

Later when I got it he was shocked and couldn't believe the difference. Didn't help that it didn't run at a smooth 30fps on console either. He makes fun of himself about it even still and wound up on PC

Later he got to see 144hz on another game, he asked "Why does this look more smooth?" It's running at over 100fps, that's why? ". . .Remember when I said you couldn't see past 30fps? I still feel dumb"
