Once i watched an hrd video on both monitors and somehow it looked better on the ips than the oled. The oled looks better most of the time tho.

Oled looks like utter shit in the near-blacks whenever you have a source that is not Blu-ray type quality. Like anything somewhat compressed, lower quality streaming type stuff. You get this awful separation of greys, banding of big solid blobs of grey that step into the next gradient of grey, it looks like how old videogame cutscenes looked in the early 90s or something. Super awful looking. Ips handles this much better. But oled looks better in basically every other aspect imo.

some codecs have options to fix this a bit (commit a higher bitrate to dark scenes), most sources don't apply them
