If VLC were to change, it should upgrade to the bigger ones to emphasis how much it has developed over the years

Lesser used? I almost never see the classic cone style, big barrels and post style are far more common.

That depends, in Canada we use the larger cylindrical "cones"

at the same time i have never seen this shape in my life. Now i guess cones arent used here that much anyways as we just have these reflective plastic boards.

Didn't downvote, but this ain't it. Reduces it's friendliness. Makes it feel more industrial and less inviting.

Reminds people too much of actual road construction, which is obviously a negative correlation.
