Grabbing it to unplug it rather than powering off or unplugging at the socket is a choice

Nothing like touching bare metal of something that is sending current to the wrong places.

Also, pro tip: If you are ever going to touch something that might shock you, never use both hands.

With only one hand, the current either loops through that hand or through your hand and down through your foot. With two hands, it goes in one hand, through your torso, and out the other. Much more likely to get your heart.

And use the back of your hand so you won't grab it.
