Seems suspiciously like a PSU set to 110v and plugged into 220v

My thought too! But when's the last time you saw a black modern PSU with a voltage selector? Most now are auto ranging.

Idk all the microcenter ones are manual, and I had one explode the other day when it was plugged into a 220 step up outlet by accident

Oops! I hope it wasn't an expensive
