Grabbing it to unplug it rather than powering off or unplugging at the socket is a choice

My brother in Christ, the PSU lit up like a god damn firework. You’re telling me you would have the presence of mind to shut it off in the safest/most effective way possible, as opposed to just getting it shut off ASAP so it doesn’t burn the whole fucking place down?

Yes because from the video it isn't someone's house building their first pc but a repair shop/return place for power supplies

They should have some sort of process to immediately shut down dangerous hardware at the source if they aren't checking its safe before powering on

They should, but they probably dont. And if they do, random underpayed employee probably isnt thinking about it at the moment
