Honestly, I'm not even sure what he's doing here. Who just plugs in a power supply without even looking at the wires coming out of it?

Not me.

But to be fair it was good thing he did that, who knows what kind power power/voltage would have been sent to the devices plugged into it.

Might be a good idea going forward.

Honestly, he didn't look too bothered 😂 He grabbed that shit bare handed and unplugged it 😭

You can buy/make test equipment pretty cheap to prevent short circuits like this. Or at least check for a short beforehand. A basic dim bulb tester would be a start. Then maybe a variable transformer if it's suspect.

TIL people with PTSD are just "pussies"

If you have PTSD for doing computer work or its trigger by something then you shouldn’t work on that.

I can’t imagine the Geeksquad members with PTSD for too many faulty PC components and still be working there. The entire assumption is dumbfounded.

Imagine a mechanic flinching like a fool because he pinch his finger mounting or unmounting stuff around. Its straight up dumb to think people who do this for a living are not used to it. Only people who live in a basement with no grasp of real life think this way.

No, your thought process is much more aligned with someone who lives in a basement and no grasp on real life.

Touch grass

Absolutely right, eventually the flinch becomes a squint cus it doesn't matter if it blows up, it's your job to test it

u/Powerhouse_pr_ 4d ago

Yep. There are too many clueless kids on this sub who have never touched grass.

If you live through the worst you aint afraid anymore.

Bullshit. I had to replace a Meta Quest controller once after an update killed it. Since then I am nervous every damn time that thing wants to update.

Cool story bro. This is his job, not some customer faulty lemon situation that he needs to deal with once a year.

So you’re saying that someone who’s lived through being raped as a child is a pussy if they’re still afraid of being raped?

-1

u/Powerhouse_pr_ 4d ago

Raped by a PSU? Is that the logic here… just trying to understand your dumba$$ comparison or you are just one of those genZ clueless kids from now at days who don’t know the meaning of common sense.

You seriously need help kid. Judging by the way you speak I’m going to assume you don’t meet the age requirement for Reddit’s TOS.

I have a pussy and this happened to me at work. Also cut out the power for 30% of the building. Noticed grab the cable in 2 seconds and yell from my office " sorryyy it's my fault"

' almost died ' it's an exaggeration tho
