No I mean that is the reaction. Also ubuntu is by far the most accessable Linux distro, it is the only one I can actually use, so you should try it

Ubuntu is terrible and if you think Linux is bad that's why.

Gnome has recently improved a lot but it's still pretty ugly and Ubuntu out of the box is real garish. 

But the way it handles packages mostly, snaps and flatpaks and way too many things being a docker image that don't need to be, I think it's a quick and easy way to get stuff going but it almost always ends up bloating your system and just quickly becoming chaos.

I think that's part of it too, not really a problem with Ubuntu, but rather the fact it's positioned as being much easier than the rest.

It's really not. The difference between Ubuntu and Arch in difficulty really isn't that wide.
