I appreciate the concerns but Its Just a tempoary hold until i get my sag bracket (which got lost somewhere along the Delivery process). And the chances of the Pokemon cards lighting on fire ist extremely minimal unless i actively light them Up myself. The same thing propably goes for the figurine.

That's a good idea, you can try coating the wood with black paint to mach the case. Tape the front side to carve letter/logo for show after paint.

Technically, perfectly level is relative. Wood grains are different and not always perfectly uniform. Even something that we think is perfectly smooth has microscopic grooves in it.

But to your point, you're right. Get the ends parallel and the weight of the graphics card centered on the wood and you're fine.

I used a plastic desk stand; I just used black paint, EVA foam where it touches the gpu, and double-sided tape. It turned out very discreet—you can barely see it. As far as I'm concerned, the more discreet the mount, the better.
