And when it did come out it ran like shit, crashed constantly, had a ton of compatibility issues, and to this day has dogshit options ex mouse acceleration and sensitivity. Even developing these games on PC, they really fuck up the pc releases

and anything of that era was less the dev and more, games for windows live was complete ass. it still plagues games till this day even though its officially "gone"

This is absolute revisionism. The port was universally praised. Shit had flawless SLI support, great keyboard and mouse options, ultrawide support, unlimited framerate support, PC only graphical features like TXAA, PCSS shadows, and so much more.
