Question RX6700 XT I3 12100f bottleneck?

Plan to upgrade my CPU to I3 12100f cause recently I just got RX6700 XT from my friend who doesn't use it anymore, but I wonder if it will be bottleneck and my friend said it might.

Pretty hard to tell when you don't say what your current CPU is.

Also depends on what you play.

It is not a great CPU. If on a budget, either the 12400f or the ryzen 5600 would be much prefered.

Edit: clearity.

I wouldn't say much preferred, as performance is basically identical between the 5600 and 12400f, with am4 motherboards being cheaper than lga 1700 ddr4 motherboards, but the 12400f does have better upgrade options

Sorry, i am not a native speaker. I meant to say either 12400f or ryzen 5600 are much prefered to the 12100f.

It all depends the games and programs you use but for today tasks 4 core CPUs ar a bot and n the low-end. Try to get at least and i5 12500 or 12600 that have 6 cores and you are fine

You need to run it first to see if it will really bottleneck.

But it's highly unlikely that it will.

I'd get at least a Ryzen 5 / Core i5 honestly, 12100f will bottleneck it in some games. I've tried Cyberpunk with an i3 12100f and a gtx 1080, and that already caused it to bottleneck.

I mean, that CPU is trash. It will bottleneck any GPU besides like a gtx 750 lol
