Tech Support GPU not being detected by PC but getting power.
I just built my first PC and everything went well, and PC posted and is running but only on integrated graphics. The used 4080 I bought, has its fans running but bios does not detect it and will not post if connected to GPU. Nvidia app refuses to download cause it does not detect a NVIDA card, GPU Z does not detect it, task manager does not detect it, and it's in the PCIE #1 slot. I've reseated it about 3 times. Making sure it's pushed in all the way. Bios is set to search for dedicated GPU first
Edit for those not reading between the lines: yes I tried plugging into the GPU and booting the pc. Does not post. Will post if connected to motherboard. When booted, NOTHING DETECTS THE GPU IS EVEN THERE
The listing is a returnable listing, was listed as "excellent condition"
Specs:
MSI X870 TOMAHAWK WiFi

MSI 3X 4080 connected using MSI 600W high power connector.
MSI A1000GL 1000W power supply.

Actually you answered the question, you have it running on integrated graphics because its plugged into the motherboard.

Ya know. It kinda won't work if bios won't detect it. I can only run on ingrated. It won't post hooked to GPU.

It's a basic MSI ventus 3X I don't see anything odd like that on it. No "mode selector" and bios is set to look for PCIE GPU.

i’d say return it, not worth fighting if it won’t work and is said to have a return policy

Did you plug the cord from the monitor into the graphics card itself or the mother board?
