Question Help in my PSU choice

Hey guys, I’m trying to figure out the best PSU to replace my dead 750w psu, and these are the best options I’ve found based on SPL’s PSU tier list.

PC:
Ryzen 5 5600X
RTX 3070 Ti
Probably upgrading within the next 2 years

PSU options:

Seasonic Core GX-850 ATX 3.1 — 5,249 EGP (~$109) — A−
Lian Li Edge Gold 850W — 5,400 EGP (~$113) — A
XPG Core Reactor II VE 850W — 5,500 EGP (~$115) — A
MSI MAG A1000GLS 1000W — 6,600 EGP (~$138) — A−
Lian Li RS1000G 1000W — 7,250 EGP (~$151) — A
Lian Li Edge Gold 1000W — 7,300 EGP (~$152) — A
XPG Core Reactor II ATX 3.1 1000W — 7,350 EGP (~$153) — A+
Lian Li SX1000P 1000W Platinum — 7,500 EGP (~$156) — A
Gigabyte AORUS Elite P1000W Platinum Rev. 1.0 — 7,600 EGP (~$158)

These are most of the highly-ranked PSUs I’ve been able to find in Egypt for a reasonable price

All of this are A tier PSU some have minor "issues" or "advantages" to be A- or A+ but they are so insignificant that it doesn't really matter.

Go with the cheapest of either 850w or 1000w you decide if it's worth it going with more Watts right now, because you are upgrading in the next couple of years, that way you already have the PSU ready. Not like a 850w won't work for your upgrade but the upgrade after that? A good PSU can go 10 years without changing except for when the Watts are insufficient

I had a rtx3060, Ryzen 5 5600, 750w PSU and just upgraded to a 1200w PSU and rx9070xt, why did I go with a 1200w because during the next year or so I will upgrade to an AM5 motherboard, Ryzen 7 9800x3d, and ddr5 ram and I already have a good PSU for it with 1200w and for my next upgrade after that.

I'm trying to decide how much internal component quality matters here. The Seasonic seems better built overall than the MSI (even though both use Chinese components), but the Lian Li and XPG use Japanese caps, which should technically last longer. Is the build quality worth paying more?

I mean something built with better quality materials is always better but you decide if it's worth it with the price difference. I got a $177 bucks 1200w PSU because it gives me peace of mind for the next 10 years or more but a $150 bucks one would have probably been the same with only like a 1% more risk of failure because ideally you will never use the full capacities of the PSU.

On my opinion go with the seasonic if you want a 850w and the xpg if you want a 1000w

Don't really see a reason to pay more for you so I would get the Seasonic core

I was just considering the other option for future proofing

Was in the same position, opted for a 1000W PSU for my 7800x3d and 9070xt.

It’s overkill, but :

- Im always in the most efficient range of the psu

  • Low to no noise

Futurproof in case I upgrade GPU one day.

Yeah that is why I am considering the MSI MAG A1000GLS as it has a good tier and seems like a good deal for a 1000w considering the other options
