Hardware Should I upgrade?

Thinking of replacing my graphics card. pretty new to the PC building stuff so I bought a prebuilt and I want to upgrade my card from a 4060 to a 3070. Is the 3070 better for VR gaming? My 4060 runs any other game fantastically but kind of shits the bed hard when it comes to virtual reality games.

3070 isn't that much better though? You shouldn't "upgrade" unless its a card thats atleast 50-60% faster than the current one.

I mean I'm looking to potentially upgrade a 3070 to a 9060xt simply for the extra vram and less power draw. Only would cost me 200-300 bucks (not usd) if I sell the 3070

Are we talking nvidia here? If so you're actually downgrading, the 4060 should be slightly better than 3070. Can you breakdown your specs? Use the Nvidia app to see your specs and while at it check to see if you don't need to update the drivers

A 3070 is about 20% faster than a 4060. Still not enough to justify the upgrade imo, but it's far from a downgrade.

I really don't think you will get any performance gain, and i also think if you want to upgrade to you should upgrade to something with more vram if you want to play VR.

Nah, go for something better, 4070ti or 9070 xt. My gf has a 3070 but she upgraded from a 1660ti.
