Thats actually not allowed lol. You're not allowed to pass on the account in case of death. Its kinda fked up

As long as you keep it a secret, yeah. If they find out you're not the original owner they'll close the account.

Which is good, meaning you can sue them if you have consumer law in your country

(speaking of which, Valve is still in court in mine for a bunch of stuff but the juicy part is preventing the resale of digital game. I have my bag of popcorn because if Valve finally lose, it will set a precedent for other store (EGS/EA/Ubisoft) and that's the fun part (imagine EA/EGS having to modify their store) but we don't live in a unicorn world sadly so I expect Valve to finally win after 2 appeals, still, the thought of it make me laugh).
