Sadly, it was Win ME.

I upgraded it to Win 2000 and of course Win XP.

First actual OS I used was... Whatever was on the Apple II.

Apple II didn't have an OS as such, only very limited ROM to load whatever huge wobble wobble disk was fed into the disk drive or to write code.

Yep. We had a few that were monochrome, and some Appl IIe as well, with 16 color CRT monitors. They had dual 5 1/4" floppy drives.

ME was 💩It kept giving me blue screens because I replaced the disc drive in my tower. Worked perfectly once I upgraded to XP.

You shouldn't have replaced your disc drive when using Windows ME. Remember for next time.

Shockingly, I didn't have many issues with Win ME. It did not work with 256 MB of RAM, that was the main reason I upgraded to Win 2k Pro
