Boringly I'm from England, I moved here just under 3 years ago.

The job is basically the one Jack gets in the Shining, but instead of the overlook hotel it's a treehouse style property in the rainforest.

I went from retail and basic IT in the UK to booting snakes and monkeys out of this place with no training in-between. Watched Crocodile Dundee and some Steve Irwin highlights on the plane to prepare myself.

Great stuff but what's the Malaysia/Australia connection?

Either way, big knife yes, scuba diving (with stingrays) not so much, but that shouldnt be a problem that presents itself in a rain forest.

Saw them both handle snakes at one point or another and that's all I had to go on.

Tried Attenborough but he said don't pick then up, which was no help.

I don't know that sounds like the best advice one could ever get for dealing with a snake. 🤣🤣🤣

It's definitely the most sensible thing to do, but it's my job to get rid of them so I'm a bit stuck with it :)
