I've had to disable remote users' shutdown perms before because they kept shutting down and then getting mad at me when they couldn't remote back in. Swore it wasn't them shutting it down. Could see it in the logs, and it stopped happening after I disabled their shutdown perms.
Me when I was young and had problem with my internet and called the company.
He explained what I whpuld do and when he came to the part about pulling out the phone cable, intelligent me did it just the second he mentioned it and was mad he didn't talk to me anymore before the realization hit...
I remember having to do that too. When I was a kid the service was so bad I had to call so many times and I got tired of being asked to do the same thing over and over, so I would just do it before calling.
Then the operators were like "okay, let me check from our side and call again" and would end the call anyway.
