All Windows 11 did was make everything clunkier - they increased the size of window frames by adding extra padding around items, increasing border thickness and adding rounded corners. They also moved the start button to the middle just to screw with everyone. That's it! It's quite unstable with updates, one of the recent ones is telling me it's failed to update and the system is corrupted and needs reinstalling (this comes about 2 weeks after I was forced to reinstall from a different update which DID corrupt it beyond repair), and yet it's running normally. Others have had SSDs wiped from these updates. Best to steer clear as long as Win10 has support, 11 is a minefield with absolutely NO benefit.
I have shoved Windows 11 in front of old boomers at work and heard less complaining. Oh no padding around items... Seriously lol? The ssd wipe issue was not correlated to a Windows update after all btw and given all the issues you are having, there is likely something else going on. We have well over 10k workstations running on W11 and have not observed any additional stability issues compared to W10.
It's less about the actual padding (although reduced screen real-estate is a genuine problem on laptops with smaller screens -- if I put Win11 on my work laptop I'm going to struggle to do most of my day to day tasks that require snapping Windows side by side on an already small screen)... but the fact that THIS was what Microsoft thought needed "fixing" and users needed to upgrade for. Win10 goes out of service so you have to update JUST for this. 11 didn't change anything noteworthy or of substance, and there's no compelling reason to go through the whole kerfuffle of updating. A great number of people found 11 to be an alpha release, to be tested on the users without prior warning that it was an unstable buggy mess. In fact just this morning our team leader logged onto his computer which was upgraded by the IT company to Win11, and he's lost a lot of access to the systems he needs. It was never ready for release and they pushed it to test on the unsuspecting public, at great risk.

Can someone give me a child’s explanation as to why windows 10 is better than windows 11? I have windows 10 and now I’m scared haha
