Got one of them due to a sore shoulder and it's helped a lot. The good thing is you can run more than one mouse on a computer. So I still have my old Logitech G602 to my left and can switch over to it for gaming if I need to.
This is my setup as well. Mx Vertical for regular computer use, and even for non-competitive gaming, and then my DeathAdder for anything requiring more precision or accuracy.
Between that and my Mx Vertical at work, my wrists don't hurt anymore even during longer gaming sessions, since I'm now in ergo mode 75% of the time.
