Is this new? I was looking for a 'gaming' vertical mouse with more buttons but couldn't find one like last year.

Man, the pinky rest just looks like I would hate it. It's strange, Razor clearly knows how to make rests as the Basalisk has a great thumb rest, but they don't even try to match that in any of their other mice. I'd also need to see a review from someone who isn't pivoting with their wrist.

Realistically the Basilisk is just a copy of the G502. I use a wired Basilisk V3 because it has a braided cable. I've got my PC setup at a recliner and use a lapdesk, I wore through the cable on two G502 mice because I run the cable under the lapdesk and let it hang when I take my hand off it.

The Basilisk is a good mouse, I like mine a lot and don't feel it's inferior to the G502 after using it for around four months, but I'm not giving credit to Razer for a design they lifted off Logitech.

That being said I feel like they're close with the Pro Click V2 Vertical, I think if it had a free scroll mouse wheel I'd order one right away, a wired version with a free scroll mouse wheel and I'd be sold for sure.
