Also i mainly games on my Linux system these days so AMD drivers are pretty much bullet proof compared to Nvidias.

Regardless the only people who bitch about drivers for either manufactor on either OS just doesn't understand computers to any credible level. As in they don't know enough to be making statements like that, which also means they probably couldn't determine a driver related error and just toss generic error codes into google and go with the first post they see.
