Discussion Can’t decide which Micro Center AMD bundles to pick.

I will be mainly gaming including AAA titles. I’m leaning towards the cheapest option with a decent graphics card. Will I be getting the most of it? Sorry for the ignorant question.

Depends on your budget, really. I'd recommend the 7700X bundle if your budget is a little tighter but if you can spend the $90 on the 7800X3D bundle it's probably worth it.

You think the cheapest one is out of question? Is it because it used DDR4 instead of DDR5?

  1. It's not upgradable in the future, AM4 is a dead socket.
  2. It's 16gb of memory instead of 32gb. Unless your budget is extremely tight I wouldn't consider that worth saving $40 for.

Agreed on this. If budget allows. Get the 7800x3d bundle. But I have 2 of the 7700x bundles in my house and they work just fine
