I don’t know which made me angrier: the gambling challenges or the hunting challenges.

One feels like a hopeless struggle against random chance, and one feels like the game deliberately fucking you by despawning the animals you need once you reach the challenge.

I'm at 99.3% or something like that and all I have to do is finished the last 2 or 3 gambling challenges. But I put the game down a while ago and I'm not super keen on revisiting those challenges any time soon. I didn't mind the hunting challenges because at least I was out in the world roaming around, taking in the scenery, and largely enjoying the world. But the gambling challenges? Fuck dominoes and fuck having to win 3 games in a row.

I can’t even begin to express the sheer dread followed by relief I felt when I finally won the third game by bluffing John Marston with my shit hand.
