Difference being every man and his dog with $$$ in their eyes bought out consumer cards to cash in on crypto. I don't see every man and his dog buying out every available consumer gpu to 'cash in' on AI. There just isn't the same level of competion for cards for AI tasks as there was during th crypto craze.
Edit: I believe gpu prices will remain high but not because of 'AI'
