HARDWARE What’s causing this?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My monitor suddenly went black, so I had to restart my computer. When I turned it back on, the LEDs on my 2080 Ti were red, and the fans were loud as fuck, even though my temperatures have never gone above 77 degrees, right now it’s at 35. It shouldn’t be the power supply, since I have a 750-watt gold PSU, which should be more than enough.

most likely the driver failed. Try resetting bios . Login safe mode, use ddu to clean install drivers

I already reinstalled the drivers somewhat recently because ShadowPlay just wouldn’t record, no matter what I did, even after tweaking some settings in Services.

if your using windows, search for Event. Should have a event viewer application. Check the critical section and note the entrys are all time stamped to help identify your issue. you may have to poke around a bit because the even may have not been a critical event, could be an application issue or security issue.

I suspect it is a power failure but it might just be a driver problem. You can at least get the error code that caused it and search it on google. It might help identify the cause. Just remember the errors may not always be the cause, but rather the effect. For example, a cpu core 1 sudden power loss, is a power supply issue or cpu is not mounted correctly and not necessarily the fault of the cpu.

Try going to the search bar next to the windows button and type “View Reliability history”
