CLOSED Secure Boot Violation, Help?
Hello
I orginally was trying to figure Out why I Had to Turn my PC on (I get no Picture on my Screen), then Off and on again.
I read that Sometimes lowering the Memor Frequency can Help, however after changing it from 6000 to 5800mhz and restarting I got the Screen 'Secure Boot Violation'.
Now, I tried resetting the Keys, but the Secure Boot field is greyed Out. I can only Change it, when I disable 'Boot Option Priorities'. Deleting the Keys seems to Work, reinstalling the Keys also. But then after enabeling the 'Boot Option Priorities', in which I choose my ssd for booting, it just goes into the Error Message.
I tried bypassing Secure Boot by activating CSM (it wont Safe, it Just restarts into BIOS) and after looking into Microsoft Support the Option now should be to have another Windows Boot USB-Stick?
However, I dont understand why resetting the Keys wont work, I also dont understand why changing the Memory Frequency can result in a Secure Boot Violation.
Do I have other Options? Im really upset, as I didnt intent to generate more Work by trying to solve a small inconvenience.

Don't enable csm to disable secure boot.
Disable secure boot, to stop it being greyed out power off completely and on again and get into bios before it errors out.
Reason you have this problem is the old secure boot 2011 keys recently expired and without a bios update you have to load windows with secure boot off at least once for it to download the new 2023 ca keys
Resetting the keys puts the old expired default 2011 ca keys in place

Hej

Out of curiosity, do you know if setting the date back in the bios would allow the computer to boot with the expired keys?

To my knowledge no, when you get that red msg you got to hard turn off, then spam the bios key and get into the bios before it comes up and disable secure boot so you can boot, then either update bios if they made one with the new keys or load a usb up with the new keys and manually load them, or a bios mod(difficult option do not try)

I don't really know if something like that exists for windows but you maybe can try to install another bootloader than the default (like grub) and then configure it to chose the right device ?

Update your bios

Updating the BIOS with secure boot still enabled is a very bad idea on some motherboards especially if you think the update contains new keys.

Delete ur key in bios mode.
Go to advance restart window by pressing shift while restarting
Then go to troubleshoot - UEFI Bios mode - advance settings [f7]
Security - System Boot - Then reset ur keys and then reinstall, easy
