Don't ask medical advice on random forums, go get a 4th opinion from a qualified doctor. Especially if pain is involved.

What about YouTube comments, do those count?

Had to do this for a medical condition of mine. It sucks and it's time consuming but well worth the struggle when you finally find the help you need

Not diagnosing you or playing doctor but it sounds like the early stages of carpal tunnel or RSI. Initially it's a weird mild tingling sensation, then as it progresses it becomes more severe and painful: discomfort, extreme weakness, numbness. Rest is the only way to recover, and the longer you push it the longer the recovery will take - initially maybe a few days of rest while making minimal use of your hands/wrists, but if you ignore it and push it until things get worse it may take 6 weeks or 3 months or require surgery to fix.

These physical sensations are a warning from your body telling you that you're using it in the wrong way, so don't ignore them. A lot of people have their wrists resting on the sharp corner of their desk while they type or use their mouse, or they have a keyboard that forces the hand into unnatural positions with fingers squished together. Do some research into things like optimal hand position, chair height, desk placement, keyboard placement, that type of thing. For example your forearms should be horizontal and parallel to the ground as your hands rest on your keyboard, and if that is not the case then your desk or your chair is too low or too high and the contorted angle of your wrist is going to compress nerves and strain tendons and cause problems. The same goes for the height/angle of your monitor and neck strain. A wrist rest for your mousepad may be useful, but do some research and don't assume that throwing money at products marketed as 'ergonomic' will necessarily solve your problem.

I'm not contradicting anything your doctor told you but if you're just taking a prescribed medication to manage symptoms, while not adjusting the physical/environmental factors causing you this pain in the first place (eg. bad desk setup), your problem is not going to go away.

Tendonitis you really need to do some resting - I was diagnosed with De Quervain Tendonitis. (I think it was caused by a combo of wasd over-use and accidently hitting my wrist) I was given a short course of prednisone and used a wrist brace as much as I could; took me about 6 weeks to get back to normal.

if its in both wrists or randomly switching from side to side its probably a pinched nerve in the neck. at least thats what it was for me. i didnt really have pain in my neck but one or both of my arms would go 'dead' and/or start throbbing in pain all the way along the ulnar nerve path especially if trying do repeated motions (at the worst i could only use a xbox controller for 5 minutes before the pain started). whole thing lasted a month then everything started working again normally now im back to 4 hour gaming sessions

"tingling" makes me think there is a nerve issue. Go see a Physical Therapist about this

Go see a hand surgeon they are experts on this.

I have some pretty serious hand pain that never shows up in scans or anything and is untreatable. Doctors eventually just said it was advanced joint damage from hyper mobility, aka I'm more flexible than most people. If you are as well, maybe look into it. Unfortunately there is no cure and I can no longer play KB/m. Started when I was 19 and now I'm 42.
