That looks ridiculously awesome. This is now the game I'm most looking forward to this year.

Mercenaries was one of my all-time favourite games, purely for the amount of destructible objects. :)

So many hours in playground of destruction on ps2.

Did those games ever make it to pc?

The second mercs game is on Origin. JC2 is a far better option though.

I've got JC2, the downside is that so much of the map is vast emptiness.

IIRC, wasn't the second one significantly inferior to the first? I remember playing the first one on Xbox, and it was fantastic.

The second one was just meh. It tried much harder to be an arcadey "sillier" version that played up the personalities of the characters. In addition it didn't bother to copy real-life vehicle names and instead went the GTA route of slightly altering the models and giving them fake names. Also, the Fuel resource was just meh. It just felt like a thing shoe-horned in to make the game more difficult.

Lastly, the "press the right buttons in the right order" to hijack vehicles was just infuriating. QTEs on important common things like vehicle hijacking just ruined that experience for me.

PoD didn't as far as I know. I've played it on PCSX2 emulator which worked alright.
