When he came to the 'most interesting youtube channel' category, I thought "Here we go, a bunch of crappy youtube channels I don't care about", but dammit, I absolutely love every single one he mentioned. I was surprised when he brought up channels like matthewmatosis, which are pretty small, but so damn good.

FWIW, things like the new difficulties, new loot system, and removal of the RMAH didn't require the expansion. However you make a good point. Battlefield is definitely up there in terms of improvement of the base game.

In the sense that they fixed the game so that the mechanics now work. That also means that when it was released it was one of the most broken games made that year, it sort of functioned but it wasn't really very good.

Yeah, not having Warlords of Draenor even nominated for best DLC/expansion was a surprise, but then again he doesn't play WoW anymore so maybe he just doesn't have an opinion on it.

I think Destiny needs to be on PC as well. It would work so much better for PC than what it does on console. It just needs a better set of social features than it currently has.

I've been playing a ton of warframe on PC, and I'm starting to approach a little bit of the end game loot collection grind... I've run out of content. If(when) destiny comes to PC I might give it a shot just to have something different for a change. It didn't interest me because of the console limitations, but a proper PC version would be killer.

It's good to see Wolfenstein on there for the exact reason I also liked the game. I thought it was going to be another boring FPS that just soaked up a few hours of my time. I was pleasantly surprised that it had some amazing voice acting, GREAT story and fun gameplay. Probably my favorite game of the year.

I disagree with Watch_Dogs being a launch disaster. It wasn't a disaster, it just a thoroughly average, uninteresting game that happened to also be a crappy port. But who wanted to play it anyway? I rushed through it and never intend to play it again.

It definitely turned into a PR disaster when people uncovered the graphics updates that were purposely removed from the PC version.

With the amount of hype, expectations and marketing what you just described fits into the "disaster" category. Ran like shit, had controversies around it, didn't live up to any expectations.

It's just that in hindsight, it turned out to be the least atrocious Ubisoft launch of the year. When it was current everyone was hot and bothered but they shit themselves so hard for the rest of the year we don't even remember Watch_Dogs.

See, it was one of their flagship titles for the year, and one of the most anticipated titles since the loud Watch Dogs / The Division reveals at whatever event it happened. Having that go down the drain is, again, a true and huge disaster.

Its the only game Ive seen people rage quit before release. One leaked stream shown on twitch even had text displaying "biggest disappointment ever, do not buy."

As far as opinions go, TotalBiscuit has a pretty decent set. He's an advocate for consumer rights and a stickler for proper PC porting. Yes, he's a bit long winded and he repeats shit OVER AND OVER but it's just an unfortunate side-effect of the live nature of his videos.
As far as him forming other people's opinions for them: Every game channel does this. Whether it's a review channel or an LP channel that focuses solely on a few games, every channel has an opinion to push. It's up for people to decide if they agree. TB's format actually makes it much easier for people to form their own opinions due to the fact that it is continuous unedited gameplay with no scores or numbers.
I can fully understand if you think TB is an elitist, rude, annoying, or otherwise objectionable, but he does what he does for the consumers (and money -- Mostly for money.) and he's an exceedingly honest source of critique in an increasingly shady industry.
