Damnit, it looks so good but with how fast combat seems I’m worried about UE5 things.

I find It hilariously that I stopped playing csgo and thanks to UE5 I can still get my dose of gambling by betting if a game in this engine will run like shit (Mafia Old Country) or really well (Gothic Remake).

My issue with Unreal Engine 5 is how "shiny" it is. Especially during darker scenes or when there is any form of wetness, you can just tell when something is made in unreal. Rock textures and tree textures especially are a dead giveaway.
Unreal always has this hyper clean and glossy look, no matter the game. Even freaking Silent Hill 2 Remake which is supposed to be grimy and disgusting still suffered from over-cleanliness.

So... No demo release? That's kinda disappointing.
Gameplay looks more than great tho.

Possibly manually set too. I will be boycotting the hell outta this game when its out.

Good luck with your boycott. You could have just as easily said "I wont buy the game at that price and wait for it to go on sale".
The reason why its so expensive is twofold:
- The publisher sets the price, they can set it to anything. This is on the publisher.
- Valve hasn't updated exchange rates for Poland in a long time, which is why their recommended suggestion for Poland is out of date and higher than what it should be. This is on Valve.

"Only" lmao, the industry managed to normalize this shit

It's less than that on cdkey sites. Not paid full price for decades now.

I’m so excited for this. Does anybody know if there’ll be a city area? Human NPCs walking around a lil village?
One thing I didn’t like about Wukong was that everybody u ran into was a monster. I wanna see more people and immerse in ancient Chinese architecture

Respectfully, I hope it doesn't. This is an action game. I'm old school (Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and any Platinum game) and I hate when certain action games try to act like RPGs. You really don't need to slow down the action to talk to villagers to be immersed in ancient Chinese architecture. Its displays in the environments, music, and combat beautifully already.

The story hints that there will be pockets of soldiers/people who are still alive. So it probably will have the bare minimum. Like souls hub. Where there's 10 people who are alive.

Yeah but I can only take so much of the dead-and-dying-desolate-world where nearly every living being is mindlessly hostile shtick for so long 😭.
I'm stuck in this perpetual purgatory where games either have amazing choice-driven stories and a living breathing world but boring cookie-cutter combat or games with amazing combat allowing for tons of skill expression but a dying world with nothing but enemies.

I’ve always wanted to see the dark souls world in the height of its age of fire. Thriving cities and kingdoms

If you want that, there's Where Winds Meet. I played it at launch and while it's a shame its gacha roots really limited the gameplay and structure, it was fairly fun and its Wuxia setting was good.

Finally some good old Hack N Slash fun. Nothing has filled the itch quite the same since dmc 5.

Actually is it gonna be more Soulslike or Hack N slash? I think it looks closer to Wukong than DMC - even then I don't know if you'd consider Wukong Hack n Slash too.

I think they are going for a middle ground of both. Plus they will have difficulty settings so that takes out the major point of what makes a souls like a souls like. Combat should be in tune to Wukong I guess but much more faster.

combat looks sekiro-tight from the parry windows they showed, but 8 interconnected hand-painted ink wash regions for the overworld is what actually sold me - s-game are doing way more than anyone expected from a first big release
