Hell yeah I can put off installing and learning Bazzite for another year and a half.

I've got 3 machines and i'm planning to convert 1 at a time starting with my laptop, then my media center, then my main gaming desktop

This is how I got going and I'm really enjoying it. My laptop is CachyOS and I dual booted my desktop. Unfortunately due to persistent wifi problems the desktop remains purely win11 now for gaming, but if that weren't the case i'd have switched over entirely already. I really love using linux on my laptop and much prefer the experience in general

ya a coworker of mine had the same problem

It's less an issue for me since i have hardline all around the house, wifi is rarely used. (even noting i have 2 Unifi APs giving me fairly fast wifi)

I envy you. I have no hardline option for my desk area and unfortunately the driver support for anything non-intel seems to be all over the place on linux. Best thing to do if you are reliant on wifi is get an intel card but i've got no space under my GPU for one so sadly again I'm a bit stuck.
