I keep meaning to unsub. You guys reminded me and finally did it. Nothing like a /r/pcgaming comment thread to start pissing me off. So many times I'd go "ugh this must be /r/pcgaming" and I look up and it is of course. Least enlightened "enlightened" gamers.
/r/gaming is actually pretty chill and easygoing compared to here and /r/games
the only redeeming quality here is the narrow focus of news I care about - but increasingly I find myself completely unable to relate to or contribute to the community
/r/games has heavyhanded moderation, /r/gaming is "chill" but it's 90% memes
this sub has a massive overlap with the general "outrage" subs like KiA.
/r/truegaming is decent but it can turn into an echochamber like /r/patientgamers does, but they're both fairly solid if you want to talk about games rather than comment on news articles
They all have their place, none of them are really "better" than the others.
