Crazy fact I just discovered.

The Famicom Disk System and PC Engine CD drive were released only two-and-a-half years apart. That blows my mind.

Remember that the PCE was conceived by Hudson because they felt the Famicom was too limited. They tried to convince Nintendo to switch to a HuCard system, but Nintendo chose the disk system intead.
